Yeah I am going to pay double or triple payments now instead of modding (should have done that to begin with). Good for you though. The house is a much better investment.

I agree on the balance thing. I probably spent more on mods this year than all other years combined, but we also replaced all 29(!) windows in our house last summer, bought a new induction stovetop, are going on a Hawaiian vacation, so I feel like the current balance is pretty good. Probably no more mods for me this year, and only minor ones in the foreseeable. I got the one mod I really wanted this year (see avi) so I'm happy for a while.

I've been happy with my FX, BUT, I am on a short cruise in the FX and spent a few days in Chicago and some time with my FX friends there. Their Fx's were modded quite a bit and wow, that's all I've been thinking about. Their FX's were killer.
It's gnawing away at me right now.

I'm in the same boat, it's fun to mod a car but my house gains value with each "Mod" specially since I live in the Danforth... Houses aren't cheap down there and have blown up price wise these past few years..

But it's always nice to take baby steps and mod the car little by little. I like to have my personal twist on anything I own, I just won't go crazy and TT my G.

Agree and agree. Only catch is if you own the car for 5 years and you don't finish modding until year 4, you don't get to fully enjoy the fruits of your labour.

I'm trying to "front-load" my mods this time. Have a 3 year plan and trying not to spend too much money (or I should have just bought a better car).

Happiness is different to different people; Balance is different to different people. I just want to go fu@kin fast.

Nice, were your Volks matte black before, or are they new wheels in a black chrome finish. I love the color.

I am in the same boat man. I feel the same when wanting to mod other things. I guess we are just wanting to enjoy things that everyone can enjoy with us (like your new backyard)

I have always been a fan of slow modding, this way I prolong the joy and satisfaction I get from modding my car. Plus my G paid for all the mods it self. It has been involved in 4 accidents since I got it and with every one of them insurance check bought me new mods.

Can't mod the G anymore. Hard to mod a car you don't own.

I have a Stillen lip for a Gen 2 coupe and a set of chrome cone lugs and locks for Gen 2 non OE wheels...

Well Well.....here's an unplanned mod to the house A NEW FRIGGIN A/C UNIT

Mine crapped out on me Thurs night, I really can't complain its 16 years old which is around 2 years above the normal life span of an A/C. Lucky my Bro is in the heating and Air biz and I myself have done a few installs so we'll be putting one in ourselves on Mon Morn.

At least you can get a bigger, better, more efficient AC unit.

Last year I had to replace a 10yr old roof with another black roof. Lamest $4k ever.

Planning to install my GT Spec fender braces this weekend
