Toronto G35 Meet #2
A mod to avoid
I hope to come on Sunday – weather permitting. Except for a trunk mat, I don’t have any mods yet, so interested what others have done. However, yesterday I nearly got a very significant mod….
I’m traveling East on the 401 in the left lane (where else?) past the construction, when a construction truck pulls out in front from behind the cones – those heavy duty 4 foot high orange and black things. He knocks one of the cones right in my path… Cars on my tail, dump truck to the right, so I brake fairly hard, but still hit it doing maybe 50kph. It spins around, hits the side of my car and careens though the construction area, bouncing off the concrete barrier in the centre. No place to stop, so I drive on, dreading what I’ll see when I get off the highway… When I arrive in Richmond Hill I get out to check: many big black streaks (some up to 3 feet long) across the bumper on the side of the fender L. With lots of careful work with cleaners, I was able to get all visible marks off, and apart from a slight panel misalignment and plastic stretch at the bottom, I may have escaped unscathed. Have yet to crawl under to check for metal damage behind the plastic – using snow on the ground as an excuse for not looking…
Anyway, see ya’ll Sunday I hope.

Re: Toronto Meet
Great meet guys, Nice to put faces to all I talk to online. Talk about 'G heaven': I counted 9 Sedans, 1 Coupe, & 1 Z!!!!
Lots of owners, friends, and relatives- quite a crowd. Great time chatting in Dave & Busters, after intros, ogleing the G's and pics. Wish we could have stayed longer to check out games and all, maybe next meet. My Cocker Sp. - Prince - enjoyed the visit too. He'd love to go back again next time with the Coupe.
Gsedanman-Garnet Fire Sedan ('till Jan)

I'm gonna take a 'Friend' who has G35 and I'll drive my 350Z along.
