Staying Warm??

Everybody been staying warm?? Man, this has been some brutally cold weather lately here on the east coast. It's been in the minus 30s with windchill now for almost two weeks!!

I am heading to Mexico in 72 days to get married and it can't come quick enough!!! The thought of sitting under a palm tree with a cold beer and 30 degrees really sounds good right about now!

Hey bro, congrats on the marriage plans. I'll be celebrating my 16th anniversary this summer. Yeah the warm climes have a real appeal when we're scraping the bottom of the weather barrel around here.

This weather has been brutal. 3 blizzards in a week and continuously windy and cold temps way below normal. I've tried to attach a pic of the snow on my back deck from the last storm. (had some trouble getting it reduced in file size) To help with perspective my ceilings are 9' high.
As I have posted before I am a long distance runner and it's been hard to keep it up with so much cold, snow, and ice. Last week despite all this crazy weather I managed to log 93km or about 58 miles over 6 days of running. I'm headed out shortly for 20km!BRRRR.

I hope the X is working well for you. I'm counting the days til my coupe gets out-74 more

Yes Canuck, you folks have been getting the snow there too.

Congrats on the wedding , my wife and I celebrate our 35th this June, and for sure warm weather would be appreciated. Hopefully in 72 days we will have some warmer weather here also.

Thanks for the congrats guys.

Yeah, we've had approximately 100cm of snow in the last 1 1/2 weeks. RBull, I think that you guys got more than that down in Hali didn't you.

My car looks like **** right now. It's completely white from all of the salt....a very sad sight to see. I want to wash it but I think the doors would freeze shut if I did since it's so cold here.

I could definitely get used a warm climate. I really envy the guys from Florida and Cali.

Hey Canuck- I don't know gets the crown but I don't want it anyway!
I honestly lost count on how much snow we got it was so damn much.
I know what you mean about the vehicle- my burgundy jeep is pure white too after a trip I made to Moncton last week. I haven't washed it for the same reason but suppose I could as it stays in my garage and sometimes I don't drive for a few days anyhow.
I'm not a big guy for the hot destinations myself. Been there done that many many times. I just like to whine now and then about our weather but I really don't mind all of the different seasons we get.
In fact my wife is going to Cuba this spring with a girl friend because I didn't really want to go! My parents and inlaws have second homes in Texas and Florida and am welcome anytime but just never seem to get there!!
Again, congrats and all the best to you on your wedding date.

i hear you on the weather canuck, it has been brutal. my winter car ran low on gas this week and died, and i think water got into the fuel lines and froze. so i put gas in it and it worked great again. then it died on the way into work yesturday, and i had to get it towed home. i put some gas line de-icer in it and it seemed to work good today, then it wouldn't start in town. so i had to get it towed again!!! thats $110 in tow fees in 2 days...i miss my G sooo much

i'm replacing the fuel filter tomorrow to start, and i guess i'll see what happens after that.

anyway, spring can't come soon enough, or at least single digit negative temps!

Congrats on the up-coming nuptuals Canuck!

I really feel for you guys on the east coast! Your weather just seems to keep coming.

Our deep freeze lasted only a short while. Last week, we got record highs of about +9C!

I'm still waiting for the 1/2" of ice that came down as feezing rain to melt off my driveway though!

Congrats, Canuck, on the forthcoming nuptuals .. 72 days and counting. You'll have a great time in Mexico.

You guys on the east coast have gotten hammered this year. My sympathies for sure.
All we've had here in southern Ontario is a moderate amount of snow and some cold weather for a few weeks. No biggie by comparison really.
And you guys on the prairies have had some bitterly cold weather.
West coast isn't so cold but heavy, continuous rains have played havoc with mud slides.

All in all as much as I dislike winter, I feel lucky to be here in Ontario this year.
Hang in there boys and girls......spring will arrive, and think how glorious that will be this year!

That's brutal Jeremy! Gotta love winter! I have been putting gasline antifreeze in with every fill up and haven't had any problems so far. My car is in a garage every night too, so I am sure that helps.

Compared to the temps that we are getting, +9 would be shorts and t-shirt weather!!

We are actually supposed to warm up to -5 by Sunday....woohoo!!!

It's warming up now. We actually had some good snow melt today and we're expecting warmer stuff for a few days now so that's good news. Washed the jeep today in the driveway for the first time in about three weeks. It seemed to have about an inch of salt all over it.

Do the rest of these guys know what a Keith's is???
Hand washed my wife's car today too. It was +6 but felt a lot cooler with all the wind.
Let's hope you're right!! Come on spring...
