Just a heads up that I have been burned by VAB twice now. Took my oem wheels in to be sprayed after I repaired and primed them myself.

Short story: they came back gloss grey and the owner will not re-do them unless I pay him again. They look nothing like OEM. They aren't even silver. Also, one rim has bumps where dust landed during the spraying. Lousy job all around.

Shitty business ethic and poor quality work. Avoid at all costs.

 

I was told this by 2 painters. I decided to go to Island Detail on princess ave to get some curb damage repaired. Same thing, it came out gunmetal, not even close. He wanted to try again, but I had no confidence in his skill so i went all rims glossy black(he gave me a deal). I noticed paint chips a week later. I don't recommend them.

Hey Tim, that would be me. Cars doing allright, except I need new rear tires and a clutch. There goes my mod money for the next 2 years. I work mon-fri 8-4, stop by and ask for me.

Doug did a little work for me too while I was on the Island. My only regret is that I didn't let him go at my trunk as we had discussed.

If nothing else for those of you looking for a place to get some paint work done, it's definitely worth the visit to talk to him.
