Recommend you check out Bigwheelz.com, and give a call to Harry- great service great price. Mine are FRDs- several styles avail. Low price. I would also recommend the Pirelli 210s. Blizzaks and Alpins are great too.

Cheers,
Derek

Harry set me up with a killer deal on 17" FRD 40s, a six spoke design that's actually very similar but imho a bit better looking than the stock Infiniti six spoke 17". They are very light, run tight all the way up to 200 km/h (not really interested in knowing what's beyond that on cold roads and winter tires- btw braking distances are greatly extended on winter tires, as I found out the hard way, though without dire incident ;o) ). If you have Brembos, you'll need spacers and longer studs for that wheel, since the offset is 15mm tighter than the stocker (stock is 25). The FRD30 is a good looking 5 spoke that many G drivers bought last year. The offset for that wheel is perfect for Brembos. And it's a bit cheaper normally than the 40, as I recall. The Pirellis have proven to wear very well, and are very good in the snow: One key element of a snow tire that is often overlooked is how fast they come up to traction. It's the squishing of the tread block that creates the traction, and with winters, the difference between cold tires and warm tires is far more apparent than with summer performance tires (no real sipes on the summers). Cold, rock hard blocks don't squish, so traction is reduced. Just my opinion, but from a very unscientific perspective (comparing my parent's blizzaks to my wife's pilot alpins to my pirellis, starting from cold (morning) for the drive in to work) the Pirellis are doing their thing well before the other two wrt time and distance.
