How much does a manual transmission replacement cost?

Hi,

I'm just curious, how much should it cost to replace a manual transmission for a 2006 g35 coupe?

A brand new 6MT costs around $1,894 USD, plus shipping. https://www.z1motorsports.com/manual...on-p-3342.html

A used CD009 will be a bit cheaper, but finding a CD009 can be a pain, the older revisions had problems with synchros and grinding gears.

The problem I am having is 2nd gear, going from 1st to 2nd I have to slowly put the gear in, waiting for the revs to come down. Going from 3rd to 2nd is fine, and all other gears are fine.

I believe this is a syncro problem. Can this be fixed or would they just replace it, if so how much would it cost roughly? This is an 06 so no warranty.

Here's an before you lay down those big $$ for a new trans locate a recommended trans repair shop in your area to find out the cost of having yours rebuilt. Often trans shops can upgrade parts making your trans better than factory OE...Gary
