Sorry to hear that bro. Honestly I dont think its worth having the whole vehicle painted. Im pretty sure that with the right body shop, and proper expertise, they can fix and blend the area very well making it look almost perfect. Over the past couple years I've had nothing but the evil eye on my 03 G35c. So much happened to me when I am even too careful. Had the front bumper(1x) and the rear bumper(2x) re molded and repainted. Its been quite frustrating, really and I know the feeling. And I am yet to go through Insurance. I have such a good rate($2400.00p/y $500 & $1000 Deductible), that it has not been worth going through Insurance! Im taking advantage of the Insurance Company for a change. Usually I like to see the expense double the Deductible before I even consider putting a claim through.

..And also..

Doesn't it defeat the purpose if you inform the Broker, especially the Insurance company the accident if you are not going to be going through Insurance? As far as I know once they or have been informed regardless of a claim or not they will keep the information/accident on file etc.

I don't have a broker. I am with RBC Insurance and I just found my quote online and did the whole thing by phone. I personally don't believe in brokers but let's not get into that.

G35CoupeToronto, can you PM the bodyshop's info you used to get your G repainted please? thanks.

Damn man, that sucks about your car. I would advise you not to claim it, since it could lead to a "strike" as stated earlier and would mess up your nice clean record. I don't see the point of removing the bumper to repaint it, should go for less than 3k, but up to you.
