Unhealthy obsessions with your G?

I've developed an unhealthy obsession with trying to make it look like a mirror. What's yours?

Yes, this is a thinly veiled excuse to show off the fruits of my labour yesterday.

My wife muttered something about "obsessive compulsive" last night,
when I was buffing the 3rd coat of Zaino @ 11:30 p.m.

That's even worse when you have a silver car...my excuse is that it's black.

Only in black cars do you get the TRUE mirror effect. I love it in my truck. That picture is awesome. My wife told me I need a 12 step program... something about detailaholic or something like that... It's OK, I know how to control it, I don't have a problem... The car got rained on so I have to go wash it... be right back.

See, whenever someone tells me that I am obsessed, I just tell them that having the G and modding/cleaning it, is still cheaper then a shrink so STFU!!! Usually they just agree and laugh!

Hahaha, At least they know where to find us most of the time> either in the driveway washing, or in the garage buffing.

Kudo for the 'glassy' look bro.

Now I feel like going out into the garage and P/C'ing another coat myself.

Your digicam looks very similar to my Canon Elph--????

C.

Yep, it's a Canon SD300.

I'm not done yet damnit...must have more mirrorness...

I don't know how you guys use Zaino though, that requires some serious obsessive compulsive behaviour.

Used a P/C 7336 with a light cutting pad and Meguiar's speed glaze to get rid of the swirls. Then a layer of Meguiar's high-tech yellow wax, and finally topped with S100. S100 is a pure carnuba wax with no cleaning properties so it can pretty much go on top of anything and give it a nice glow.

A lot of people here swear by Zaino, but the time and effort is just too much for me.

LOL; I know, I know, I know...........
Zaino has this rep about being hard to use, but
I don't find it that way at all.

Other than the fact that you have to mix it first...
With the newer ZFX accelerator, Zaino now drys in 30min.
And it buffs out extremely well (read little effort)

Yesterday at work I had the misfortune of having my car painted by the guys painting our building trim.
Nice coverage of little yellow dots allllll ovvvver.

Anyway got home @ noon:
washed, claybared, washed again;
and got 3 coates of Zaino applied, with Z-6 gloss enhancer between coats.
Don't think I would have done the same with any other product. (all by hand by the way)

LOL...
It was at this point when my wife muttered her comments
