Brake Dust Buildup

Has anyone been experiencing bad brake dust buildup?
It seems to be getting worse in the bad weather(snow, slush,etc...).. I power washed yesterday using "simple green"
but no luck at removing the "dust deposits" on the inner side
of the rim.
I'm kind of pissed at Infinity that they would put such a poor
product on such a great car!!!

Might be at the T.O meet Sunday at D+B. I'll try my best!!!

The brake dust is horrible. washing with soap and water doesn't get the wheels fully clean. I purchased a product recently at K-Mart (of all places) in the US for about $3.00 called eagle 1 all wheel cleaner. Just spray it on a wait 30 seconds and rinse. Worked great the one time I used it. However it may be kind of difficult to get to the inner side of the wheel.

Yeh, the dust is a PITA. but it's the price we're paying for good braking power. When I replace my pads it'll be with an aftermarket product which will be more 'friendly'. In this weather with all the slush and moisture and crap it collects the dust and makes the problem even worse. The only solution for now is to keep the wheels well waxed so that the 'crap' comes off easily. Also when you buy wheel cleaner make sure it's compatible with your finished wheels. I use 'Eagle-1 Aluminum Wash & Cleaner' from CTC . It works real well (sometimes with a little brushing)... ... Later

Re: Brake Dust Buildup

HOLY &*@^$*%$@ I just washed my car for the first time...after driving it for 10 days and GOD #(*&$(*^ damnit I spent more time on the (#*$&^# wheels than on the rest of the car combined, and that includes getting on my hands and knee's to spray underneath. I also got 3 cuts from trying to get the inside of the wheels clean. I'm going for my undercoating and rust proofing today and i'm giong to see if they can spray the inside of the wheels to see if that helps with the buildup.
