I really have to thank Blackie for posting about it...I would've thanked him/her in person if I had any clue who s/he is!

I was in the crv. Were you in my group? I thought I saw 2 black Gs, one in my group and one in intermediate.

Wasn't this a total blast? It really is a great experience. I like your use of the word euphoric fits perfectly.

Ah! That was you! The one putting dirty drawings on the board. I was in the other run group but the same classroom group - dude with the shaved head. Yep, absolute blast. I'm signed up for the rest of the year.

I'm gonna need new tyres by July.

My next priority - track wheels and tyres...do these look like tyres from a 2 month old car?

Did your instructor chastise you for not having a roll square?

The whole event actually seemed like an S2000 club event...I think I saw 3 SAABs and 4x the S2000s. They welcome all makes.

Excellent! AFAIK, the men and women will be in separate run groups so sharing a car shouldn't be a problem. I believe blackie and her SO are doing that. Let's show them S2k guys that we're not afraid of driving our cars.

lol now now, don't get competitive cos that'll bite you in the ***

Endless, double check with Blake (school organizer) if you would be able to share a car with your wife. Jay and I aren't 100% sure yet if this will work out, although we spoke to Blake about it. He's supposed to look into it. I know last year there were a few couples who were sharing their car and it worked out ok. All depends on the schedules for the different groups and if the in-car time will overlap.

I'm pretty sure that your wife would have a great time if she goes. Even if she's not into the track stuff, she would be learning how to control a car better and that might one day save her life. The beginners groups focus more on basic car control skills, braking, avoidance exercises, spin avoidance/control, etc as opposed to race theories.

The skidpad session was hilarious when the instructor started sabotaging you with the handbrake while you're navigating through the cones...my hands were flailing all over the place and at one point, I think I had my blinkers, wipers, and horn all going at the same time.

Spinning so much that the fuel lines were starved and I couldn't restart the car for a minute was pretty funny too...well, funny afterwards anyway.

lol, yeah, that's a blast! wasn't that much fun with the crv, it absolutely refused to spin. The instructor kept pulling on the ebrake and not much would happen, I think he got a bit frustrated then eventually gave up
Last year in the Z though, that was a different story! I had the wipers and signals going too! That was one heck of a joy ride! I can't wait to get to do this in the S!!!! ...with the top down and water splashing all around!

Balzz: Glad you enjoyed the school. I say it soo many times to people adding mods to their car when the best mod is education for the driver!!

Blackie and I will be using the same car for the next school. They will have an advanced and novice group for both male and female. The males and females will be separate from each other so no testosterone on the track with the ladies

It's a gamble if your schedules will conflict or not. There is a possibility one of you will have to miss out on something since all the facilities (track/skidpad/classroom) are used at the same time.
