Finally Got the G Waxed!!

We had a pretty decent day here, so I took advantage of it and applied some Zaino to my baby. I started off with a coat of Z5 and then applied the Z6. Then applied a coat of Z2 and then Z6 again. I plan on putting at least two more coats of Z5 and Z2 the next nice day.

I've heard alot of people say that Zaino is hard to apply, but I found it to be quite the opposite. It went on and came off with extreme ease.

I wanted to attach a couple of quick pics that I took, but I could only get them as small as 150k. If anyone knows how to get them smaller, let me know. The next two things that I plan on doing to my G is tint and clear corners. Where did you guys purchase your clear corners? Grubbs? EverythingG35?

i got mine from oakville infiniti, i'm pretty sure it was cheaper then going through the u.s. and they were here in 2 days.
http://www.oakvillenissan.com/Parts.cfm

it is a lot quicker to just call them, i wouldn't bother emailing.

can't wait to see your car around. mine is dirty black again. haven't had a chance to give it a good wash yet. but i did get the gialla grill on and the corners, so thats something.

how was the trip/wedding?

Hey Jeremy. We should definitely hook up sometime soon.....I'd love to see your coupe. I think I saw you going on Friday on the highway, it was a black coupe anyways and there is only one other couple around here that I am aware of.

The trip/wedding went very well. We all had a great time....weather was awesome, drinks were plentiful, and the wedding couldn't of been better!!

Welcome to the Zaino club...
I agree with the ease of application, & don't know how it got the rep about hard to apply

RE: the pics,....
other than just cropping,
you need a graphics program which resamples the image & extracts unused data
such as colours that aren't used. & reduces the # pixels (quality)
There many simple pgms out there.. often a basic program comes with a camera,
or you can get a low cost one off Tucows or elsewhere.
We use Macromedia products but they're fairly costly.

RE: the clear corners.. I'm suposed to be getting some from a members draw they had last month.
Still haven't seen them yet though & don't know if they're coupe or sedan.
If I get them I'll let you know....

Thanks for the tips Ian, what Macromedia are you using....Studio? If those clear corners you are getting are for a sedan I am definitely interested.

Thanks for posting the pics Wayne. Too bad they were taken at such a low resolution.

Shane, your baby looks mint. Either it was great to begin with or the Zaino works wonders. I can't see any swirl marks and on black that's great. The interior wood looks very nice on the graphite/obsidian.
Nice job.
Only thing I can't figure out is how come you had sun and we had a lousy day here.
Deane

Yeah, it shined up pretty good. The Zaino was worth every penny! It clouded up later afternoon here Deane and is now raining....which is what we are supposed to get all tomorrow also.

I paid to have mine high speed polished and it came up beautifully. That removed the facory imperfections. I can see why the others bought their own PC polishers. Wow. It is much better than when you saw it!
