Stone Chips

Can anyone recommend a few good detail shops to fix stone chips? I have a few on my hood and a bunch on my front bumper.

Also, how much would something like this end up costing me to fix?

Thanks.

If you can't fix it up with a bottle of touch up, then have it repainted.
After that have clear bra applied.

IMO the detail shops can't really fix the stone chips any better than you can. As GSM said if you can't correct them with touch up you'll have to resort to getting it painted and definitely invest in a clear bra.

Depends where you are from? I'm getting mine repaint this late Spring. My hood and bumper for $350 plus taxes at Fairdeal Auto Collision.

$350 doesn't sound too bad for the bumper and hood. Is this a reputable place? I have a black G as well...where is this shop located?

That's the only concern... i was wondering why it is so cheap and i looked at the flyer and it said 4 hours of labour free. That's why it is cheap. Other few places rip me off... asking for $400 for the hood and $350 for the bumber.... and other say $1000. When they see Infiniti... they'll charge us more!

Fairdeal Auto Center located on Kipling Ave.

1870 Kipling Ave.
Etobicoke, ON
416-244-5500

When you go there.... be prepare what kind of question you going to ask, for instance, is the paint high quality? will it match to the factory code paint? how long will it take? etc.

As good as a deal this sounds, I'm still quite hesitant. Imagine if they botch this completely.. or if the paint doesnt match at all. That would be a complete bummer and leave us worse off from where we started. Do they have any quality references or have you heard positive information about this place?

Sometimes I wish I never drove my G so that I didn't have these chips but that isn't practical.

Thanks.
