Angry Tire Blew up on highway

Well what can I say? Before I could say WTF out loud there was rubber flying over the G.

Luck would have it that the rim didn't get scratched or damaged but the tire is toast. No tire left to even think about claiming a warrenty. The car felt spongy for a few miles but I was thinking it was the water on the highway. Needless to say it wasn't water but a flat tire heating itself up to a explosion. There is something to be said about the TPS warning system.

So I'm looking for a spare Michelin Pilot Sport 245/45/18 that someone has laying around gathering dust for a fair price.

Can you help a G guy out?

My advice that I would not get a same company that blew up the tire. I would get it different kind of company like TOYO or Goodyear..... Michelin isn;t great for the performace and my tires pretty slip a lot on the dry road. It has 22,000 km on it and it is poor traction. Find tires that have higher rating in traction.

Sorry to hear that bro, and glad there was no accident.
Talk to your local Michelin dealer about the incident. He may be able to help with an adjustment on a new one.

Man, good thing you weren't hurt. Are you saying you did or did not have a low pressure warning before the blowout?
I think GSM is right that you may be able to get a good deal on a replacement because of the blowout.
