ROFL, that's a good one Wayne. Yeah this has really been something else. It's not only the cold and rain but the constant strong winds.

You're right Colin. It was awful. I did the half marry. They delayed the start of the overall event by an hour and changed the route to the half marathon double loop staying on the Halifax side. The bridge commission was expecting to close the bridge since the winds were so strong so organizers made a last minute change. It was the coldest, wettest windiest event I've been in. In downtown Halifax there were gusts nearly 100k that pushed runners around and almost knocked them down. I almost came down once myself. The only good news is I managed a 24th place of 1277 people.

Ha ha I guess the onset is here! Sorry about that Shane.
What age do you have to be for inclusion in the OF club anyway? Wayne, Colin, anyone?

Deane

The normal age is 50 and over for the O.F. Club (Over Fifty Club), but I have heard there have been exceptions on rare occasions where people have been accepted into the organization due to early symptoms.

Deane, You messed up Shane's name just to make me feel better didn't you?

oh and congrats on the 24th place finish in the abreviated marathon. Kudos.

Thanks Colin. I'm still quite sore now as I ran hard and really am not recovered from Boston. My legs will need another month or two to recover properly. This weekend I run a 20km leg in the Cabot Trail relay which includes infamous Cape Smokey. Ask your buddy down here about that.

Yeah, that's right about messing up. Either that or it's contagious.

Aw we're all getting older and it's good to see no matter what the age the good folks on this site still have a passion for cars. That's great.
