Well, I certainly have no problem having our meet there. I'll leave it up to everyone else. But if you want Maritime lobster, FNP is THE place to go.

I am actually going there camping for a few days over Canada Day weekend.

I'm just saying it would be a must see for Pat & myself.

My 1st choice would still be St Martins or St. Andrews area.
Close to the Digby ferry as well.

Where ever you decide is OK with us (Pat & me).
We'll be happy to meet anywhere as long as we can get together with our Eastern G friends

Looks like I was kind of late getting in on this.
There are loads of Nova Scotia spots to visit as well and many with some great driving roads too.
Let me know if you guys are planning on making the tour to Canada's Ocean Playground as well. If so I'll give you some more places to think about.

Cool Deane,
I know I will be in N.S. for sure, since my old friend lives in Lunenburg. I'm hoping to have time to look around some when there. It'll be a lot to cram into a few days.
Can't wait to get back down that way again. Last time for me was '85.

gee, i go away for a few days to buy a house and i almost miss the eastern G-meet!

i'd be up for anywhere, anytime. i have 4 weeks of vacation, and the fall is the best time for me to take it (being junior man i don't get much chance in the summer). not that i would need vacation to make the 1 hour 'trek' to st. martins or st. andrew, but if we end up in nova scotia i have some visiting to do there as well.

looking forward to it, but not the dulse part! chewing on salt water-flavored weeds is not my thing lobster on the other hand....

Hey Jeremy, Congrats on the house purchase. Ya spent the 'big bucks' huh.

We're tossing around some ideas for the fall, (well it almost happened sooner but we put if off 'til then- ) Got a few places to visit for sure , there's so many great spots.
We'll all come up with a plan of action by then to include a couple places and meets and we're always open to suggestions.
Glad to hear you have some time available in the fall months.

Enjoy the new home, when is closing? and how's the LINCOLN project coming?

Colin.

thanks colin. closing date is actually next week, so right now is the frustrating time dealing with bankers and lawyers, my 2 least favourite types of people! (no offense to the bankers and lawyers )

the lincoln project is pretty much postponed until i get into the house. it has a very large garage so i will be able to tear it apart and do everything properly, instead of doing it quickly so i can free up garage space.

i'll try to keep updated on the meet, sounds like a great time for sure!

hahaha, I know what you mean about bankers and lawyers.....
Good luck with those details and the move. The garage will be real handy for the Lincoln project too.
Let us know how everything goes......

the house is in baxter's corner, just about 15 minutes from where we are now, so a little bit further away, but nice privacy.

Hey guys, how are things in the East??
Just thought I'd give this a nudge....

Anyone have any ideas about possible dates yet?
My schedule can get pretty wacky sometimes,
it would be good if we could start to target some potential dates.

Looking forward to a great road trip

Hey Ian, all things are well in the east. I just got back from camping in the White Mountains region in New Hampshire. We go there at least once a summer to go camping, very beautiful there.

As far as a date for the east coast meet this fall, I should be good for just about anytime really. Although, it's very possible that I might be going away for business to San Jose the week of Sept 19th....but other than that I should be good to go. My schedule, like yours, can change pretty quickly though.

Hey Shane, Sounds like the camping in the White Mountians was great. I have friends who just moved there last summer, and they love N.H.

Let's aim for the end of Sept. then if that's more suitable for you guys.
Fine by me, but I'll run it by Wayne too.

WAYNE!.....you listening? How about Jeremy?

BTW Shane, You heard anything from Deane? It's been a month since I've heard anything at all.
His new business venture must be taking all his time.

Ian, your ride gonna be back driveable by then?

C.
