Mosport pics!!!

Pics from yesterday. Mosport is an incredible racetrack. It was a fantastic day with trackmasters. Hopefully these pics will whet your appetite into coming out to a track event or two.

Only problem is that I've completely gone through my rear brakepads. I have spare fronts but I never thought I'd go through a set of rears so I'm not going anywhere until I get a chance to hit the dealership tomorrow.

Lookin' good Shane....Looks like you almost lifted the front right wheel off the ground on some of those corners.
If you only wear out the rear brakes on the track, you're lucky. Somehow I think it's much more. lol.

I wouldn't mind watching sometime, but not sure I want to track the M tho.

Yeah, I'm getting new tires this week too. What sucks is that I'm down to the backing plate so I can't drive at all. The auto places that are open on Sunday don't have anything in stock so I'm dead in the water until tomorrow. Dealership hopefully has them in stock. I'm lucky that I didn't get down to the backing plate until I pulled into my neighborhood and heard the grinding start. It's all worth it though. The most fun you can have with your clothes on.

I'm sure your dealer will have some rear pads in stock, or can get them very quickly from nearby.
Sounds like a blast. I'd love to see it sometime. Wonder if anyone else would too?

Colin I am sure there are a lot of us that would love to take your M on the track if you didn't want to . Heck, what are friends for? .

Balzz... awesome pics, looks like you are finding out the capabilities of the G and having lots of fun finding it's limits.

Colin, I'm sure any one of us would be happy to codrive the M for ya!

It really is a blast learning what the car is capable of. With the exception of the rear brakes, I think Nissan has done a really great job in delivering a sporty luxo-coupe that holds its own against the traditional brands. It's a fantastic car in stock form, and I won't be changing a thing for a couple of years until I've reached its limits.

Endless G, there's a BMW club school running at the long track Sept 9-11th. All brands are welcome.

Wayne & Shane,
Ahhhhhh isn't that nice. What a great bunch of friends. I get a warm and fuzzy just thinking that you guys would actually do that for me. I don't know what to say.......

Just the rears. Yeah, looks like the glue just gave up on that one. I have about 1.5mm of pad material left in the rest of the rears.

The inside left rear feels a little scored. Fine for the street, but I'll probably have to replace before my next track event. If anyone's running Mosport, don't run with stock rear pads.

Wow Shane, Those pads look nasty.... Were you able to salvage the rotors?
Do you use the emergency brake at all for stopping or whatever?
