Fighting Traffic Tickets in Ontario

Does anyone have good or bad experiences in dealing with ticket fighting services such as Pointts or X-Copper? Is there a recommendation?

No personal experience.

FWIW,
Just be aware, their guarantee WIN = any reduction in the fine.
You can generaly do the same your self by showing up for the court date.

However, I'm sure there are situations where they may be benificial.
Maybe someone else can shed more light.

A friend hired POINTTS with good results. She had the charge reduced with a corrsponding reduction in fine, AND POINTS.

They cost $200 to hire but they do guarantee results.

In Mississauga if the police officer doesn't show up, then you win (No fine, no points).
I got rid of a $230.00 ticket (100 in a 60 on Winston Churchill) b/c the cop did not show up. Maybe I got lucky. I know that in T.O. they schedule all the cops' court day on the same day, so the cop is almost guaranteed to show up. I don't think they have implemented that in Mississauga yet.

BTW I know, I know, speeding on streets is stupid. I haven't had a speeding ticket in 2 years now!!

I also know someone who used POINTTS. They got the fine substantially reduced and the points dropped. They charged $100 or $150, I can't remember exactly, but this was about 10 years ago so I'm sure the prices have gone up.

If I ever get a ticket or anything like that I would pay some one that a few hundred $ to fight it for sure.

if you want you can call my friend. they are very good with stupid tickets like that.

Call Peter 416-425-4215

Tell him Peter from 3P Magazine send you. he will hook you up.

any other member from the MR2 club just used them and it looks like you can trust them.

my mom used pointts a few months ago. worked out well, cop showed up to court but they negotiated the ticket down. she paid some court fines and got out without losing a point.
