No Brembo brake warranty...
No Brembo brake warranty...
I went in to my local Infiniti dealer this morning to sign the purchase agreement for an '04 G35-Coupe M6. The business manager told me that I have to buy the extended warranty (7yrs. 160K km for $2200) to get coverage for the Brembo brakes & rotors. He said that according to Infiniti since these brakes are very high performance and wear out much faster so any damage to the brakes or the rotors is not covered by the standard 4yr Infinti warranty and I have to purchase the extended warrantly to get coverage!
Also, whats the policy regarding defered extended warranty purchases for the G35 6MT Coupes?, the business manager told me that because of the Brembo brakes issue, Infiniti doesn't let the new owners of 6MT coupes defer the extended warranty for 2 yrs. like the G35 sedans and that the extended warranty has to be purchased at the latest by the time of delivery.
Is this true? I'll call Infinti Canada on Monday to clear up the issue, however, any advice/experience regarding this issue is appreciated.........

Re: No Brembo brake warranty...
Sounds like a line of BS to me bro. The Brembos must be covered by the original warranty.
As far as the Xtended warranty deal, to my mind it's not worth it. I'd pass if I were you.
Call up another dealer and find out their policy on what's covered, and when the extended warranty has to be purchased. I think they're feeding you a line.........
