Wife Approved Mod...

After seeling a couple of you with clear corners at the recent meet, my wife gave me permission to spend a few more dollars on my car to get myself a pair of clear corners. I got lucky and pickup a pair of used JDM ones for $18 USD shipped. Installed it today and they look great. They were practically brand new and still in original box.

Now the question, do I keep the clear bulbs from factory or do I use the amber bulbs that came with the clear corners. I did some research but it seems inconclusive what is the "right" way. What's the legal requirement in Ontario? Anyone knows whether there is a legal requirement?

Thanks,
MA

I hope I don't end up like that... I mean sure asking the wife if you're gonna spend like $5000+ for FI... but $18 for clears?! Unless it's her car...

My gosh what are you going to do when you want the super charger and new rims that you see at the meets. I guess the next affordable mod would be the emblems. K & N drop in filter, Z tube, Skyline Kick plate and all season floor mats or nismo floor mats.

Thank god I am not marry

That's a great deal Mathew and they'll look great with the Athens Blue.
I went with the amber bulbs cause I believe they are supposed to be amber markers, so at night when they are turned on the clears look amber when illuminated.
The other guys are just pullin your pi--er, you seem to be getting what you want "a nice 05 Coupe and all" . Can't complain, eh?

Yanking his chain eh, Bro as long as they are amber at night you won't have any issues, they can't be blue, red, or anything like emergency vehcile colors (Ambulance, Police, Fire, etc).

Good pic Wayne. I always thought it would be much lighter, but that looks good.

Wayne,

I also put on the clear corners this week and think they look great on the Lakeshore Slate. Also, went with a Stillen Hi-Flow intake (thanks to Chico's recommendation) car sounds really nice now.

Chico..It doesn't look bad at night, it is impossible to tell you have clears on when they are lit up at night, yet they look great during the day. Less excuse for the law to stop you at night . I love the way the clears blend in on the LS and silver colors, doesn't clash or jump out at you like the amber lenses do.

G-Force...Peter you are really getting your ride set up. I know Chico raved about his Stillen and good to hear you concur. I look forward to hearing how nice they sound when I can make it to one of our get togethers.

LOL...I have to stop coming on this board. Wayne, your review just made me get a set from Oakville. I'll pick them up later today. They come with the amber bulbs too which is great.

I didn't get them before 'cause I thought the light was clear at night like some cars I've seen.

Say what you will guys I have my JDM clear corners for $18USD shipped! BTW legally, the car belongs to my wife. It's a long story, but I used to have two cars at one point and she had none so for insurance purpose, they made her the primary driver for the thrid one that we bought.

Wayne, thanks for the pics, I followed your advice and it does look great! You can't tell they are clear corners at night, and yet during the day, they look great.

SDG35619, eBay is your friend!
