CIBC - Run for The Cure
Our family had some bad news this past summer and found out in July that my wife (Jane) has breast cancer. It has been a tough couple of months and we are dealing with it day by day. Things were caught very early and recovers looks positive.
As the CIBC Run for the Cure is coming up Oct. 2, my sister (Susan) has started donations page and I would like to post it for any G35 members to contribute.
Thanks, Peter

Peter,
So sorry to hear of your plight with that aweful disease, my best wishes go to your wife and indeed your whole family.
Cancer is far too common a disease these days, and the sooner we find a cure, the better for everyone.
I lost my Dad to that terrible disease 4 years ago and very much miss him, so in the hopes of helping your family and many others out there, I donated.
I wish you the very best of luck both with the fundraiser, and 'The Cure'.

Hi Peter,
Sorry to hear of the bad times your family is going through. Be positive about it and everything will be fine.
My godmother and my aunt are both survivors of breast cancer.
I'll be "walking" at the Run for the Cure " with a team form my workplace in support of my relatives and all other the other people that have come in contact with this horrible disease.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Bill

Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts and donations. Until you know someone going through cancer and learn more about it; is when you realise it is a non-discriminating disease. Jane, has never smoked or rarely drinks alcohol, eats carefully, exercises and is not overweight and only 35 years old. In the past 4 years, this is the 4th person I personally know who has had cancer. I know the coming year will be a tough one but with great support from family and friends we will come through this.
Thank you, Peter

We are extremely vigilant in this regard.
My wife has had several family members that have suffered this terrible disease.
Cheers bro, here's hoping better times are ahead.
