On my rounds today........

Came across this IP coupe... (sorry for the cell phone quality)

Either they're planning ahead, or they missed spring

Wow, I wonder if they had it on the other wheel too? If it's on one wheel, then maybe the spare was missing and needed to put another wheel on, or they think it's cool (like the civics) to have two different wheel setups on the car!

I've seen this one guy pull up in front of my work with a Silver Coupe. I don't think I have seen a coupe that dirty before. The front wheels were completely black (due to the caked on brake dust). I felt like telling the guy to wash his car, but I just kept my mouth shut and walked away.

Freak summer snow hits Alberta
Sep 12, 2005, 16:50 GMT

CROWSNEST PASS, AB, Canada (UPI) -- A freak early 18-inch snowfall in southwestern Alberta left as many as 4,000 homes without electricity as crews scrambled to repair downed lines Monday.

Hit hardest was the city of Crowsnest Pass, 160 miles southwest of Calgary, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., reported. Hospitals and nursing homes were operating on generators, and the province`s disaster services were activated to distribute blankets and cots.

Stan Orlesky, a spokesman for the power company Fortis Alberta said at least 50 power poles were broken by the heavy, wet snow, and said it was unlikely that power would be fully restored before Monday night, when temperatures are expected to fall near freezing.

Now that's a shame with a car like the G and compromising with snows in the summer.
You're right about the tires Ian. Many of the snows especially anything designed for ice practically melt in warmer temps.

Here in Vancouver area we saw snow for about a week before it turned to rain... other than that we had about two weeks of sub zero temps.

Last year I was in Calgary five times:
April -- snow
May -- more snow
June -- rain
Sept -- snow again
Oct -- you guessed it... snow

The thing I like about Ontario is you guys actually get 4 seasons

we didn't get snow last week, but it did rain... felt like i was in Vancouver in the winter... a mountain pass got all the snow... kind of a freak snow storm. regardless, i have my snow tires ready to go when the snow comes down. need to have them since the Goodyear's r summer tires. going with Kumho KW19s on 17" CIA rims. after drifing my old 95 Mustang for 10 years, my G35 should be a treat!!!

The weather has been incredible. The best summer I've ever had here in Halifax in 22 years. We've had rain during the day about 3 days in the past 9 weeks and it's been hotter and sunnier than normal. Let's hope the good trend continues into the fall and winter.
