I imagine all you Easterners are watching the weather these days, but just in case anyone missed it, sometime Saturday, the remnant of Ophelia is expected to skirt the shores of Nova Scotia on its way to Newfoundland.

High winds and heavy rains are forcast, and she's not expected to make shore until its depleted and cooled mass reaches Nfld.

Stay safe and dry folks, our thoughts are with you.

Colin.

Thanks guys. I am sure Deane will feel more of Ophelia than I will, however we are calling for rain all weekend here in southern NB.

Hey, I just got back from dropping "Rebel" at my folk's place for the weekend.
Guys, I have to drive to Bathurst tomorrow evening for a service on Saturday afternoon. I won't be here and will have to batten down the hatches tomorrow before leaving.
I've planned my last long run of 32km for Saturday morning so hope it isn't too bad in northern NB.

Hey Deane, Hope the run goes well, and the 'service' doesn't get you down too badly.
The forecast I saw was for Ophelia to just skirt N.S. and wan't expected to be more than winds and heavy rain. (fingers crossed for you)

Talk to you soon, and hope all goes well.

Thanks Colin.

It does sound like they've backed the forecast off at least for my immediate area.
I'm off now.

i was in halifax for juan, and was without power for several days, and without coffee for at least 2 full days, and cold beer for 1 day. the important stuff got up and running quickest.

looking like this one won't be a repeat of that, but i'm still glad to be here in new brunswick.

My B-I-L almost booked a holiday for the Maritimes for this or next week. His plans fell through, but I guess now he's glad.

Take care guys, and stay safe!
