Going to squeeze two questions into one post, so please bear with me!

I recently picked up a new 2005 M6 Sport package. In the brochure, it stated the car had "drilled aluminum pedals". I was under the impression all 4 pedals would be of aluminum, but was sadly disappointed when only the gas and foot rest were aluminum. Is this normal?

Regarding daytime running lights...
I tried to disable them by taking out the 2 blue fuses/relays labeled "DTRL" from the engine bay fuse box. Sadly to say, it wasn't a success Can anyone please tell me how to disable the daytime running lights? This is my first Nissan/Infiniti and found this guide regarding disabling the DRL on a Sentra. Can anyone confirm this process for our G? Link pics

BTW, have yet to establish a relationship with a dealer, so hoping you folks can help out The G was purchased through a broker and we had a bitter falling out, thus am not dealing with them anymore. Thanks in advance!

 

That's the first time I've heard of the pedal issue?
I know previous years had all 4.

Isn't is manditory that you must run with daytime running lights in Ontario?
Better check out the Highway Traffic Act just to make sure.

strange, all 4 has aluminum for me, foot rest, clutch, brake and gas. I go to the dealer and give them hell for it. And why disable the day time running lights actually are the lights even on hehehehehe i never pay to much attention

 

it's illegal to diable DRL so leave it on ! and i have all 4 aluminum so...
did you buy yours used ? if you did then the previous owner might did something to it, if it's a brand new then go back to the dealer and start you yelling

 

All 4 of my pedals are aluminum.

Same as all of the above. I bought a pedal kit for my '04 with all 4. I've only seen aluminum on all 4 with the '05s.
Daytime running lights are mandatory for all vehicles manufactured for the last 10 years plus. Disabling them will likely have you breaking the law and being much less safe.

 

I hate those Fudge Ups.....

Hey bro, so you need a dealer....I've had good reports about Alta INfiniti, and I've personally dealt with Infiniti of Yorkville (altho. our good buddy and parts man: Jerry Liu is no longer there), as well as dealt with Oakville Infiniti (good), and Guelph Infiniti (good).

The DRL's I believe are legally required, but as to disconnecting them, there is a module in the grill area that feeds the system. A dealer won't mind pointing it out for you, but be prepared for him to give the same warning.

As you know, most rides up here now are equipped with them, thus are so much more visible. I find I'm tuned in now for them, and don't really notice vehicles without.

The G was purchased brand new from a broker here in North York. The broker also bought the celica as a trade-in. The G was taken from Doner Infiniti's (Newmarket) inventory, transferred to Alta for PDI, and then made available for pickup at the broker's store. I doubt the broker would want to deal with this issue (they did end up being forced to pay for my 3M chip guard). Should I give Alta a shout? Passed by Agincourt Infiniti the other day and asked the sales manager about the pedal issue, and he said "it's normal" and the aluminum pedals on the Sport package AT in the showroom was "special ordered".

As for the daytime running lights...not particularly fond of the yellow lights on Ivory Pearl and do not wish to run the HID during the day (yes I'm very **** about cars ). Worse comes to worse, will be looking to put in PIAA Xtreme Whites for the daytimes.

NOT normal for '05

Many of us have changed to the Xtreme Whites or equal anyway.
It looks terrible when your high beams come on & the yellow looking Hi-beam colour mixes with the HID colour.
