I just priced am OEM part that I want to use in a mod.

Local dealer = $385 (cdn)
US dealer = $135 (us)

Evan doubling to allow for exchange, shipping & duty, still more than $100 cheaper!!!
Guess which one I ordered.

 

See if the local dealer can match the price, if not... then order from US...$100 cheaper as u said.

You are right availability and price seems so much better in the US than here.

I was at Guelph Infiniti this morning and asked them to check price and availability of the OEM chin spoiler for the 05 Sedan, their answer "Not available in Canada"

 

It just doesn't make much sense.

jpn product > US(+import tx) >> Canada (+shipping+duty) = $

and

jpn product > Canada (+import tx) = $$$$


and then, like you say, there's the availability thing too.

 

Same here. I ask my local dealer if they can get any Nismo part for the G35 and they say "NO, not available in Canada. The only Nismo parts they can get is for Nissan cars". So I end up ordering the parts from the US It is the same for my chin spoiler

 

Wayne, I know the feeling. I gave up a long time ago asking the dealership for anything. We know our cars and what's available better than they do.
