(2)235/50/17 Blizzak LM-22

$981 incl GST plus shipping (depending where you are)

Re: coupe snow tires

Have 18's (no Brembo's) and want to go to 17's for the winter. Looking at American Eagle 196 17 x 7.5" rims 40mm offset. How much with these rims?

Re: coupe snow tires

Here is what Tire Rack suggested at FA site. This was last year and the options for wheels and tires may have increased. I am also looking around for the best buy withe wheels that look decent. I have Brembos and feel that 17 inces are the way to go for winter. Do not like to mess with changing tires on 18 inches.

G35 Coupe tire issues ...

This post is to discuss the tire issues of the G35 coupe.
As you may know the G35 coupe with the MT6 option uses 18" wheels and tires. The tires are summer performance tires which are not designed to be used in colder climates. This is the main reason for this thread because, the non-MT6 versions come with 17" all-season tires.
The facts:
MT6 Package tires are Michelin Pilot Sports
225/45-18 front
245/45-18 rear
Many have suggested the use of all-season performance tires because of the colder conditions and possibility of snow and ice.
At this time there are no all-season tires produced in the exact OE sizes so, let's explore other options.
Option #1 (the best choice for winter/cold weather use)
Winter wheels and tires:
225/50-17 Pirelli W210 Sno Sport front
225/55-17 Pirelli W210 Sno Sport rear
17X8 MILLE MIGLIA HT3

admittedly this option has added cost and storage issues
Now to look at what some are calling the best compromise:
The Pilot Sport A/S in sizes 245/40-18 front and 255/45-18 rear.

Re: coupe snow tires

17" SE Fox Fives + Blizzak LM-22's from Talontire on a M6 coupe. I think it was around $2000 with shipping last year. No comparison with the factory 18s but whatchagonnado.

Re: coupe snow tires

The clear coat is probably going to be better for winter wheels as opposed to bare alloy. The naked metal can pit badly with road salt, etc.

Re: coupe snow tires

I bought a new AWD vehicle to get me thru the winter. A little more expensive than a set of wheels & tires, but my coupe will be snug and protected in the garage this winter. Murphy's Law says since I got a new vehicle for the snow, we will have a very mild winter. Therefore you all owe me one.
