Angry How long should it take???

Hey Guys,

Just a quick question to those who have had their stock Bose( Clarion) head unit break down.
I had the head unit replaced awhile ago and I still haven't received back the CD's that were stuck inside.
Should it be taking so long for Clarion to retreive my CD's? WTF???
Its been at least 6 weeks or more, I can't remember the exact date the head unit was changed on.

Thanks,

Bill

Hey Bill, I don't want to worry you, but I've heard that sometimes they are slow to return CD's to customers or they don't send them at all.
You might want to get after the dealer to make another inquiry to Clarion for you just in case they misplaced your name.

+1... they're a dealer, they forget, they don't follow-up, they don't care, etc... i had the gas filling problem with my car. they ordered the flapper... it came in and they never called me. when i called them up they told me that it had already been sitting there for 4 days. just keep bugging the crap out of them.

Been through that with the head unit re-order. Originally, the dealer( Agincourt)never processed the paperwork about the replacement unit. Good thing that I had asked when I got back in to check up on my onging repairs this past August.

Hey Bill,

Wassup with your head unit? Did it just all of a sudden crap out on you? Mine makes this funny ticking noise when playing songs. I tried a purchased CD and does the same thing. Is this means for replacement? Then again, I'm returning the car in a year so I don't really care anymore.

Could almost take a month or more- the cd's are removed at Clarion then are sent to Nissan to be shipped back to the dealer- however its up to the dealer to follow up. In case they haven't a freindly nudge should do the trick.

Hey Wes,

Its been a long time. Good to hear from you.

Anyways, the head unit ( CD section) crapped out. It read CD err across the screen like so many others that I have read about.
Had to get a replacement. I had six purchased cd's stuck inside. I'm still waiting for their return.

You giving up on the G or just going to replace it with another?

Bill

Yeh Wes, I hope you get another G, or are you going to 'borrow' your GF's in stead?
or are you thinking about the new Lexus (IS?)350 302 hp... That could be a little gem too.

If you've got the G for another year, check out a replacement for the CD you have now if it's messed up. A year's a long time ....

C.
