My Winter Shoes (pics)

I took advantage of the nice weather this weekend and put on my winter wheels/tires. The fit is perfect and I hate to admit it...but the difference in performance between the 20's and these 18's is night and day.

I love how light the car feels and how it stops with such ease...and never mind the acceleration...uhh...I love it!!! The looks of the 20's is sweet but I never realized how much I missing out on with a smaller set up.

I'm reconsidering this whole thing about putting 20's next spring. I saw a set of Volks in 19's that liked a lot. So we'll see!

Anyway, here are some pics. Let me know what you think.

Chico,

What type of suspension do you have?

That's exactly the type of drop I'm looking for.

Thanks

Yup. Lighter rotating mass and unsprung weight makes a HUGE difference.

Love the wheels Chico. and if you've never had them b4, you'll like the Blizzaks.

Sounds like the 20" are a bit over the top performance wise, but terrific looking. It's a tough choice.

Chico I was expecting to see some crusty used black steel wheels with a set of luggy hard rubber snow kings or the like.

Nice set up. How could I not like the wheels?

BTW the statements you made about the differences going to larger wheels are exactly why I haven't with my car. Like the looks but not the sacrifices in performance and ride . Been there several times before with other cars.

Looking real good Chico , looks too good to drive through the salty, gungy, slushy roads of winter.
