Balzz ---->>> come in for AutoX vid (94 Z28)

As promised in the earlier post I've managed to upload the video of my '94 Z28 autocrossing with the Corvette Club at Square One in Mississauga. This was taken back in 95, so it's been awhile...

Keep in mind that it was a fun run so don't go timing me

PS - didn't hit a single cone...

Albert

Thanks. It sure was the most amazing time. If anyone ever gets a chance to do it, take that chance - you'll get hooked.

I was somewhat known to be a bit, ummm, 'aggressive', LOL!!! It was tough to rein in the power of the Z. Oh, what a problem to have, hehehe!!!

First time Ian Law took my car (and me) out for a lap around a pretty technical course (Mazda club) I was amazed by his ability to control the car and put in such a great time (considering his car was a modded Volvo 240) without knowing the course. His biggest problem was controlling the power as well. My time was still better than his though (in my car, that is)

Corvettes with experienced drivers were my biggest competition as they just had such a huge advantage with the independent rear suspension. That is until the tight, technical tracks, then it was usually some small, nimble, highly strung out car that would just run away.

I believe it's just windows media player plug in on IE. Worked fine on my mac mini with Firefox as well as my work notebook running XP.

If you'd like, I can email it to you (5Mb). It's an mpg file when I upload it, but steetfire does some optimizing of the file so it streams better (so they say). Just not exactly sure what it is they do.

Sometimes you just gotta put on a show for the locals. Camaros sure were more fun to watch than Miatas.

I'd love to have a high hp torquey piece of iron in my stable one day.

Damn you for reminding me that we're in the off season! Hands...shaking...must...have...driving...

That's the thing about the BFG R1 track tires, it's either all grip or all slip... the transition point is a very narrow window. Believe me when I tell you that I was doing my darndest to keep the car going through that corner the way the track designer intended.

You're welcome...

Remember, the season's not over. Just like golf, you just gotta drive a little farther...
