Our OEM spare does NOT Fit on G coupes w/Brembos??

I'm reading this guy's thread in classifieds (https://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77979) and he's selling 5 rims. 4 are some Nismos and the 5th is just a factory 18. In his ad, he states:

"its this price because it comes with a spare for those who dont know that have a G coupe with brembos your spare wont fit (no **** statement) but you get a spare so if you get a flat it will fit over the brakes.
-Tim"

Holee crap, is this true? I had NO idea... I'm glad I haven't had a flat yet!! I'm going out in the cold right NOW and ripping that useless spare out of my trunk. No wonder so many people with coupes have built out their trunks with stereo gear!

Haven't tried it myself but I'll take that bet that it fits. Highly doubtful Nissan will install a spare that will only work with some cars.

Yes it does fit....there is a bolt that sticks out like a 6th lug nut(easily removed) so you just have to line up the extra bolt and the hole in the spare rim. Took me a minute to figure it out, but then i realized what was going on.

I HAVE DRIVEN ON THE SPARE, SO I WILL VOUCH FOR IT FITTING.

Al, Check out the fit first bro. Like Deane says, I doubt Nissan will put a spare in your ride that doesn't fit.

100% correct. Already driven on the donut and it fits perfectly fine over the brembos. A little scary looking since it covers it completely but it's of no concern.

Thanks guys! I kind of thought this was untrue.

Sorry to sound so ignorant, but I figured the best way to get to the bottom of things was to ask the experts. I wondered why a guy would claim such a thing and better to know and be embarassed a little than not know and run the risk of finding out the hard way.

Thanks all,
Al
