Good advice: go home if you can and stay there.

A half hour drive from just north of Kitchener/Waterloo ( Elmira) took 90 min. roads were icey. Detoured around one accident. The G handled it alright, but then........... I put down the passenger window to chat with a guy in the next lane and low and behold the window wouldn't go up. &^$*&&^*^$^#%
No place to pull over safely so I drove in this cr*p with my jacket over the passenger seat for about 10 min. Pulled over, got out, opened the P door and struck it firmly but gently
a few times while engaging the switch. Up it went.
Read about that technique right here folks. That's twice that incidental reading on this form ( fuel door stuck ) have saved me from a dose of extra grief.
Looks like I'll be heading over to Guelph to have it checked out.
Thanks for those posts guys, priceless.
Gratefully

Hope you all get to your destination safely.
I run into this thread via search (I am in NJ) because my passenger window does not roll up, and it is raining now. Sure thing, window is all the way down.
whatacar, unfortunately this trick did not work for me, had to tape some trash begs over. What a joke.

Was that an uppercut (biff), right cross (bang) or a quick boot (boom) you persuaded her with?

It's damned inconvenient when the G has a 'hissy' like that when it rains....
Good luck with your fix too.
