Fireblade, if it makes you feel any better, I floor my car most of the time with 60/40 city/hwy driving and I only get about 320KM before the light comes on. With begs the question, does the light come on after the tank reaches to a certain number of liters left or is it based on your driving style? I'm only askin because when the light comes on for mine I turn into a granny to save enough to reach to the gas station, but the gas gage is far from the E.
Oh BTW fireblade, I was as curious as you were on milage so I was being good on one tank and I got about 475 30/70 city/hwy driving. I think it all depends on how hard you wanna push.

Mine is 50/50 city and highway and get a solid 12.5 L/100km. I can get that down quite a bit if I drive like my Dad but that's no fun. That puts me in around 460-480km per tank before I fill up (probably 60 litres or so). I drive pretty hard as well, near red line on some launches and often near 140kph on the highway.

man u guys get kick *** mileage compared to me. nav is always reporting 14.3MPG no matter what I do (that's almost 17L/100km according to my calculation...). I am hoping it is combination of:

1) nav is off. though i keep resetting the MPG but it always goes back to 14.3. Anyone know if it's possible to have it display L/100km?

2) Mine is 6MT coupe ('06) - that's the 298HP one. And everyone else's is the 280HP. Though would not account for such a huge diff.

3) Just hit 1000km few days ago so fairly brand new.

I am even shifting no later than 3k RPM all the time. Just to see. First day I did this, noticed that nav immediately reported an increase in mpg (17-18 mpg), but since then it has gone to 14.3 again, even with me continuing this shifting trend. Wierd...

Agreed. On the other hand, if your G is not acting the same as other G's (forget it's MPG, could be any symptom), would u not want to know what is wrong and why?

Oh, before I got the G, I looked at an Altima SE-R because it had such favourable right-ups and represented good bang for the buck. When I test drove it and hit the go pedal, there was an annoying little analog guage that showed avg. mileage (or fuel consumption rate, something like that), and the needle would drop down every time.

Though a tiny contributing factor, that is not why I decided against the Altima - I just didn't like the way it drove.

Mileage is a concern for some to some degree - so I'm not bashing anyone for being concerned - just having a bit of fun...and speaking of which, it's time to drive home!

Driving in Toronto 60/40 Highway (well if you consider the QEW and Gardiner a highway during certain times of the day).... I usually average ~300 miles/tank = ~480km/tank. High of 320miles and Low of 290miles (which I'm sure will get slightly lower during the summer months for obvious reasons).

I have an 04 X so it uses slightly more gas, but with 99% city driving I get between 430 and 480 km/tank which works out to 14 L/100 km to 18 L/100 km. 100% highway driving has resulted in about 11 L/100 km, but that's averaging 120 km/hour and it's scary to actually see the gas gauge get lower and lower!

Vancouver is mostly city right? Not much 100km highway...that might be the reason you uses more gas than ppl in GTA...

One tank of gas, I could go around 400-450 km in city only, I havn't try highway yet, but guess won't go much higher due to I drive faster on the Hwy.

Sounds like your nav is calculating from US gallons.

14.3mpg(US) = 16.5L/100km = 17.2mpg(Imp.)
