The reader is good when you have a MIL staring at you when you drive. Hate when that happens.....That does ruin my day.... , so now the reader can give me a hint as to what the issue is and allow me to turn the dang light off if I want.
Haven't had any lights, but if and when I do, I'm prepared.

This particular reader (the 3110) is compatible with the newer computer settups with C.A.N. : (Controlled Area Networking)....which I found on the new Civic.
Haven't tried the M yet with the older version reader, but I suspect that it is the same and needs the updated reader.

I love toys...

Colin, are you really thinking that you're going to get a MIL on either one of your new cars?????

Also, back to the UPS billing of duty, etc. I agree with RBull here. I think another bill is on it's way. That's what happened when I got my tires/rims from Tirerack. Everything showed up, didn't get the bill for a week or two afterwards.

I hope you don't get billed, but...

Hey Colin, I'm surprised you don't have something they gave you as a receipt that breaks it down.

He may not if the value was big time lowballed. That in it self is a bit surprising it slipped by.

LOL, Albert, I doubt it very much, but as you know, MILs sometimes appear mysteriously and I hate not having the tools to deal with an issue, hence a reader.....I've helped others with MIL's who don't have a reader so it's handy for family and friends too. I generally have it with me just in case it's needed.

This particular reader will show how well your engine is running and indicate whether it'll pass a Drive-Clean test too.

It was a good excuse to get another tool....I've got most in a huge stack of tool-boxes now, and I'm always looking for more....
I've got so many tools now I think I've become one.

In all the packages I've gotten from the U.S., I've only once been billed later on for 'other charges'.....I doubt I'll get another bill for this package. We'll see.

Colin

Yes I did have a breakdown of the charges, Deane....It was buried in the package. Total taxes was $29., and Brokerage was $39.
So hopefully I won't get any more bills...

Exactly.

My forms say I already paid duty and taxes, and believe it or not each box was valued at $30, so I paid on $60 value. I watched it at UPS.com and it moved through customs/the border really fast.

I lucked out.
