My newest toy!

Not to be upstaged by MSM, I finally brought her home today. I still have to get a shot next to the G35 to show the difference in size.

Me test fitting myself in it...and anticipating the awesome rotary power!!!!

From 3.5l torquey V6 to 1/3rd the engine capacity.

Streetported freshly rebuilt motor with 4000kms on it making 177hp to the wheels. Down on power compared to the G, but good times nonetheless.

Nice little toy Shane. the rotary is good once you wind her up some....

For 1.3 liters, they go quite well...

Yeah, absolutely no low-end torque but she comes alive at higher rpms. It makes a horrible horrible sound...a sound only a mother, or idiot (that's me!) could love. I feel like I'm driving a chainsaw.

Those wankel engines are great, sounds like you've got some fun times planned to the car

Awesome Shane, how much does that thing weigh? Not as much power as the G but a whole lot lighter.

Thanks!

Deane, it weighs 2600lbs. Almost 1000lbs lighter! I'm hoping to get it another 150lbs lighter.

Shane, you're going to have a great time with that car. It's awesome.

That's what I thought about it being light. Light= fast

The original generation RX was about 2000 lbs.

Very nice. Now you just need a truck and trailer to pull it around to events...

Nice 'toy' Shane, bet that handles like a dream.

BTW, what's the dark square in the panel above the passenger side h/light?
(see circle).....is that an air intake????

It's an inlet to the cold air intake. Not sure I like the look of it to be honest...

I'm looking forward to finding out how she handles at the limit. The alignment right now has a very aggressive toe-out in front (previous owner is an autocrosser) so turn-in is unbelievably fast. I'll have to get it realigned before hitting the track or it could be...challenging.
