So guys - I simply pulled the DRL fuse and everything works as expected, other than the DRL. Do you guys have different experiences?

So Larry and I spent the afternoon yesterday and re-wired my lights and it works perfectely. I documented the whole procedure as best I could and took pictures of everything. I'll start working on a DIY as soon as I can.

First off - if you are not comfortable splicing wires, and basic wiring, this mod is not for you. This is not a hard task when you know what you are doing - as demonstrated by Larry. However, this is also not easy. This involves rewiring as good bit of the headlights and installing the relays correctly so they are grounded properly and so that the DRL and foglights work properly.

Be warned, not for the faint of heart, but it is definately doable. Most likely this will take someone 2-3 hours for both headlights if you do it properly, take your time, and solder and shrinkwrap all your connections.

I finished the DIY. I created it in the form of a word document since I included 6MP high resolution photos for each step. When I cropped them out it didn't work too well and they were well over the 120KB size for a JPG. Anywhoo have a look see and good luck.

Did you get around to trying this yet? Want to know if it is documented properly.

Sorry to bump a very old thread but what would I do if I have an imported g35 installing US specs 06 projectors? I should only loose the DRL function (and not the blinking fog lamps) right? I think my DRLs are hardwired to the ignition so as soon as the key goes in the DRLs turn on.

what if I have a canadian G in US, so I don't need the DRL's, is there a much easier way to solve this? I'm just annoyed by the rapid blinking turn signals and the peanut bulbs turned on at night.

Do i just pull the DRL fuse? thx!

Pulling the DRL fuse will work but it means that your power seat will no longer work (go figure).

In the end, you should really do this. It isn't that bad. Print out my DIY and bring it to any automotive place and I bet they would do this for you.

Hi, I was reading through this, as I'm about to order these lights, and I have a few questions.
For one, the link to the DIY is down, and I can't get it anymore.
Two, I want to know if it included a way to have your turn signals on when your lights are on just like the old style headlights.
Basically, I want to have the projectors, but I still want it to light up like this:
