Good deal on Michelin Pilot Sports?

I am about to put my OEM summer rims/tires back on my car. I need a new rear tires and want to stick with the Michelin Pilot Sports 245/45/18s. Anyone buy these lately. I have done a lot of net comparisons and it looks like the best deal is to buy from tirerack.com and pay for install here.

Does anyone know of a good tire installer in north GTA (Richmond Hill, Markham, North York, Scarborough)? The guys I used to switch my summers to winters last November totally scratched up my winter Enkei rims and wrecked my tuner bolts. Then they went on to explain how tuner bolts were difficult and impractical to use and charged me for ugly bolts that totally ruined the look of my Enkei rims...I keep telling myself not to go back there again but they are 5 mins from my house.

Also, any idea what customs and duty will cost me?

Thanks for any ideas!

If you are in the GTA & don't mind a drive.
You can ship to a US address in Niagara Falls NY
Then clear them yourself.

Here's the process:

1. Email Ann at usaddress@adelphia.net She'll ask you for some info and give you an address that looks like this.

Your Name
3909 Witmer Rd
Niagara Falls NY 14305

They charge $5/parcel & they are 5 minutes from the border.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also Tirerack will ship to a registered Tirerack installer in the Niagara Falls/ Buffalo area.
You can drive over, get them installed & drive back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for tires, I ran a set of Michelin PS2 last year.
They are without doubt the best tires I've ever had.

Thanks for the advice.

I think I will order from Tirerack. It seems everyone who has dealt with them has had a good experience. Shipping to a registered Tirerack installer sounds like a good option but not sure when I will find the time. I think I may just have them ship here and get it done locally. Do you know of any good tire shops around TO?

Info. or how good they are about Michelin Pilot, I think you could try ask BADG35, coz he is using the same tires you are looking for, but of coz in a different size.

I shipped from tirerack.com to my Toronto address and installed at http://www.wheels-direct.com. Wheels direct is near McCowen and sheppard, they charged $15/wheel to install and balance and were quite good to deal with.

That's great to hear. And they are not too far from me. I'm just tired of dealing with crappy companies that just don't care. I got a great set of winter rims/tires from Jerry when he was still at Yorkville but I haven't been able to find a company to deal with ever since. I will give wheels-direct a try. I hope my ordering experience from tirerack.com will go well...
