Maintenance

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or familar shops where they bring their cars to for regular (not rilli..) maintenance like brake fluid flus, tranny fluid flush, oil changes and etc..

(while I used to bring my car to Yorkville for those matters..but dun really feel like to risk my car like anymore... especially with my summerson;
my heart skipped a beat when I saw a staff drove a G onto the tall curb of the muddly lot as if there is NO curb... )

Well, Agincourt kind of has a ubiquitous rep here, but I've had all my work done there and have been happy with them thusfar. Work they've done for me are all oil changes, all recommended maintenance, and a repair on my fuel injectors.

I use Mr. Lube for my regular oil changes and other fluid flush. They're fast and I sit in the car and watch what they do. I have them use Mobile synth. They have also done my tranny flush and rear diff.
Guelph Nissan Infiniti did my brakes, throttle body and other warranty items. I am happy with the service of both these places so far. Good luck with your choices.

Thank you guys =)

I am still within warranty, thus, I will just take my car to Oakville/Agincourt for the warranty issues..

However, for fluid changes/flush, I am looking for a place that can probably do that faster and cheaper (but still know what they are doing..)

I will prolly try Mr.Lube first with my upcoming brake fluid flush

Will you be bringing your own oils to Mr. Lube?

I wonder how much they charge just for labor..

I will prolly bring my own oil; but i guess it doesn't hurt to ask what kind of oils do they use..

I am a bit concerned abt the brake fluid flush since if it is not done correctly, one can essentially kill the abs system

A quick call to the location your going to will let you know if they have the fluids you want. If they don't, they"ll prob. get them for you. When I had the tranny flush they went to Infiniti and got the "special, authorized" fluid and kept it for me until I was in for an oil change. I don't believe they charged me extra for the service as the fulsh was reasonably priced.
The location I use is the one at Highland and Fisher Hallman in the ESSO station.
John is the owner and Steve is the Mgr. Both car guys.

Is the place you used somewhere in Kitchener ?
any where closer?

With regards to tranny fluid, I know that I dun have a choice (5AT) but to use the J-matic..

However, for the brake fluid, does anyone have any special recommendations? since this will be my first time to do a brake fluid flush..

Thanks

Yes, it is in Kitchener. The owner John also has the Mr. Lube in Cambridge (little closer) and Guelph Nissan Infiniti is even closer than that.
If you want to do a complete tranny fluid flush, call a transmisson place and ask them what the labour charge will be and supply your own fluid. Mr. Transmission quoted me 130 bucks plus fluid ( I think 12l does it all). Mr. Lube did it for me ( 9L) as an ongoing flush for $130. I thought that was a good deal especially since they only were going to replace 6 L but they got carried away. Perhapse it was my smile or the drone of the G. It seems to cast it's own spell .
When and why do you do a break flush. Would the sealership do one when they replace the breaks?

I doubt the stealership will do a brake fluid flush when they replaced my old and infamous 04 Brake pads and rotors that squeak all the freaking time lol....

So, I guess it is now time to put the real stuff in ! I have already ordered some ATE super blue, but is now looking for a good place to do the brake fluid flush.

As of the tranny flush, I am not sure where I can buy the J-matic fluid (since nissian claims that other tranny fluid will void the warranty..) so i guess I will have no choice but to go back to stealerships if i cant find any J-matic tranny fluid

Cheers
