I called my Infiniti sales guy this morning in Halifax just to see if he had any inside info on the 07 Sedan that he could give me. Deane, you know hiim....Mike Botchett.

He couldn't tell me too much yet, but stated that the last he was told, it is supposedly going to be rated for 310HP. Production will start in July/August and will arrive at dealerships in Oct/Nov. He hasn't received any specific pricing but was told the increase will be minimal.

He also mentioned that the coupe will hit dealers in March 07 and the GTR in Sept 07.

Of course much of this is still speculation, but wanted to pass along these small tidbits nonetheless.

 

I wonder if its the same engine that is the FX35? as its rated for 310 hp too.

Hrm, I don't think so. This one is supposed to be "80% new", so dropping in the FX's 3.5 would be a little anti-climactic. One of the big gripes about the current VQ is the mpg, so I'd suspect Nissan's done at least something to keep it inline with the IS350/330i. You never know though.

This is a new gen VQ with 80% new parts.
Not the same as the FX35... also the FX is the old HP rating system.

The new VQ is the new standard which is generally a lower #

I would guess that to reach there best in class goals, it will be more than 310.

The 06 FX35 is 280HP and the 06 FX45 is 320HP
