2nd page? Never!

Got to detail Peter's (alphabit) car today. Props to him for having one of the nicest maintained '04's I've seen. Got a little "arty" with some of the later pics at Peter request. Enjoy.

Kev, awesome job on my car. Thanks for gettings this "key" marks off my car. I am in awe on how you were able to get rid of scrape marks left from the car that decided to give my car a little nudge when parking.

Some updates and an opinion request.

Hey guys - I would like your opinion on something. A friend of mine who does graphic design, etc (and helped me with my logos) is involved with a business called "Autographz!!!", basically they do custom logos on the interior surfaces of cars, not embriodery, they fuse it to the leather, cloth, plastic, metal whatever. Originally when he mentioned it to me I was like "meh", because as a lot of you know I am very conservative when it comes to modding cars, I like everything to look OE. He then showed me his NSX with it done and I thought it was pretty cool; definitely looks clean and it's a quality install. He then showed me a logo he had made for me (of my gta in detail logo) and I was blown away; the quality was really good. I have nothing to do with this business, I just know you guys are savy consumers and are car-nuts, so I wanted to ask what you think of it on his behalf. Here's the site:

http://rsvp.ca/autographz/home.htm

Click on installations to see pics of it. Materials are suede (feels like suede), a cloth that has a raised feel, and another material that is a solid flush logo, feels sort of like felt. As mentioned once it's on it isn't going anywhere ever, without taking the surface below with it. I don't know that I love the headrest idea, but I think it'd be cool on mats, sun visors, in trunks, etc.. .it can pretty much go anywhere and they can make any logo (so imagine guys with like VOLKS or JBL or DINAN or ///M logos or something).

Thoughts?

FWIW, I think on my next car I am going to put a "GTA In Detail" logo on my trunk lid, since whenever I detail I have it open.

Hey Colin - I might be able to get you a deal on them since I know the guy. Just let him know you know me and he should cut you some % off. They have a facility in Richmond and will also do mobile service, not sure if they will go outside the GTA though. I wish I had a pic of the "GTA In Detail" logo, it really shows how well done they are and how OEM they look.

I told him that we have a mutual friend (you) and for details on what he could do for my ride......sent some pics of what's there already and what he could come up with for the headrests and mats.

Waiting to hear back......I'll be sure he knows it's thru you.....

TNX for the hookup.

Hey, Rick (the guy mentioned above), just sent me a pic of my logo. It's about 4" long by 3.5" high or so, totally flat in the "felt-like" material (it's actually more dense and has less pile than felt, but I can't think of a better way to describe it), this gives you an idea of the precision and detail they can be done in. It's mated to some random cloth fabric here, but it could go on anything really.

I think something like ///M in an M3 or Type-S on a TL or GT-R, or just the mount fuji Infiniti logo would be pretty neat if subtley done.

Like the GTA in Detail logo, Kevin..he does great work.

I've asked for Rick's input for a logo for mine....perhaps like you say..a Mt. Fuji flanked by M45 in 2-colour.....we'll see.
It will add a nice touch.

Ya, actually I'm thinking if I go with a custom interior and do alcantra, I might do a 335i logo on the alcantra, or a black and white roundel or something.

Hey guys, just an FYI; Rick updated the site with all the stock OEM logos. He always wanted me to let you know that anyone that knows me and gets 4 logos gets their 5th free. Cheers.

Hey Kevin. I've just got off the phone with Rick and I'm on my way to see him tomorrow.
We've worked out the details for logos to go on my headrests and am dropping them off in the morning at his house in Oakville.....

Going with the Grey XLR in M45 in about 3" height.
Should be real cool. I'll post when I get them back next week.

Tnx again for the hookup.....Rick's great to deal with.

Colin
