CarPC output to nav screen

Is this possible? I am planning on getting a z2 soon, but I was curious if you could still hook up a carputer to output onto the Z2 screen? I figured it was similar to the idea that people hook up regular computers to TVs. Eventually I want to run a slingbox from my indash. Thanks for any help with this

well, Car has RGB out, and NAV has RGB in. However, Nav's screen (03-04) requires composite syncs while VGA's output from the PC has Separate Vertical and Horizontal Sync. SO that wouldn't work.

You can use the regular Composite video, but using RGB won't work.

Thanks for the info, I dont mind using composite since the screen is so small. I'm not familiar with carpc's at all so I just wanted to make sure it was possible.

I wonder if this is possible.

Outputs a composite sync, should work, right?

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but i used tvandnav2go and the video output of the minitx motherboard. video quality is okay. it's not hi-def by any means, but it's not choppy and displays the guages pretty well.

This is the exact info I've been looking for.. damn and you're local too! I'm from the Arlington area and just got my 04 g about a month ago. I had a carpc in my vw before this so I've been looking into getting something implemented. I'll shoot you a message and maybe I can check out a few pics of your setup and what not.
