Mac mini carputer

Ok so I have this idea to use a Mac mini for my new project, which is to install a carputer. I have found the screen I want to use and the transformer to power it all. The part that I can't seem to decide on is how to play audio though my stock Bose system. I found a vid on YouTube where the guy took a 3.5 sound jack from the Mac mini to a 4channl Signal booster, then he went an Splice a 3.5 sound jack per the 4channels (front two speakers) (rear) (subwoofer). I could go an do it that way myself but to me that seem to be more work than is Necessary. My thoughts are if I can find a cheap, small in-dash Bluetooth stereo then I could pair the stereo to the Mac mini... Allowing me to keep the Functioning steering wheel controls..

Option 2 is to use the headphone Signal booster, then straight to two amps(doors speakers, sub) an rewiring all the Interior speakers. But then how do I go about changing the volume for the sound coming out of the amps to the speakers?

So this is what I've found so far..
http://bybyte.com/files/Quad7850_user_guide.pdf
Seeing how the Mac mini only audio out is a headphone jack (3.5m) I'm goin to use the items in the link above. Alone with a few of the recommend items as well. Then take the speaker wires coming from the chipset and put a molex connection on the end so I can use the stock bose system.. So either I use a Rheostat to control the amount of power to the amp chipset which inturn control the volume..
I have also found a chipset that allows me to keep the steering wheel controls but the software for this chipset is only for PC...

Couldn't you use a USA-Spec, Gromm Audio or iSimple adapter and control the volume with the steering wheel and headunit?

All the devices you said have to connect to a head unit. I plan to pull my stock head unit out an replace it with a 7" lilliput touch screen

This isn't the one exactly but it is something like this. You'll have to double check before you go out an buy one to see if it matches your vehicle. All I have to do is hit the radio button and it'll scan from FM1, FM2, Source 1 and Source 2. It gives me 2 aux inputs. I hook one of the aux up from phono to stereo, into my carpc. Sounds great.

I have of those in my car now. The Previous owner installed it, not sure as to all the hook ups it was but I do know it was a hook up for iPhone/iPod . But now if you have one in you car does this mean you as have the factory head unit still hooked up in your car. Where is you screen at for you carputer?

You got yourself a hell of a nice setup. I'm goin with a lilieput screen from mp3car. They make a prefab setup that already in the bazal. I don't what to start cutting thing in my car. Here lately I was thinking about using a dell latitude table with has windows 8 pro also has a 2.0usb port along with a hdmi port. I just researching at the moment. But thanks for the input

Also in for updates... Psedog did this to his G sedan years ago and I am interested in seeing where this goes in the current market. If you could clearly state in the first post the shopping list and price to do this project, that would be great. I know you can buy old 2005-2006 Mac Mini's for ~50$.
