Do yourself a favor and don't do a ac to dc inverter. Just buy a dc to dc power supply from mp3car.com. If you really want to do this.

Your better of just getting a $90 pioneer deck with blue tooth with the steering control adapter. That way you can just use the mac mini into the aux in, and use bluetooth for your phone to speaker phone in your car. Use the steering controls to cycle through the inputs and sound. But now a days your better off just using a tablet.

 

What i did was just get a pioneer bluetooth deck with the steering controls, Nexus 7 tablet integrated into the console and tether to the tablet with my phone. This way i have the superior touch screen of a Nexus 7 tablet but still keep my radio and cd options with car speaker phone via bluetooth. Its a lot less hassle and the touch screen on the nexus 7 is much better then on the lilput.

 

Dont use a mac!

 

In my old car PC the Mac had front row which was awesome for this type of setup. Don't hate on it... And more importstly why are you bumping all these car PC threads?
