StreetDeck g35 edition released
#16
I have tried out the SD software as well, but only at home and not very extensively. I don't have a car PC yet but plan on it in the future.
I have tried this at home and it works pretty well. Of course there was little background noise, but I did use a cheap mic.
One thing I would like to see, would be a schematic of how to use the built in mic (for bluetooth package) in the 06 model with SD. I have an 05 service manual but it didn't have that package available so it doesn't show the wires for the mic.
Also, this package doesn't help out those who have a full size spare (my dealer didn't even have any non-full size spare g35s). But the software looks great, and I think I'm gonna wait until the skin/plugin editor is finished to decide whether or not to get it.

It is now available as software only "developer version" (w/ GPS though) for $199 at www.streetdeck.com. You still need to get MapPoint 2004 if you want nav though (2006 map data included with StreetDeck).
The skin editor has been there all along - even with the early beta versions from last year.
