Meguires Detail Spray - California Duster

I hace a Obsidian Black 2004 Coupe and as everyone knows it shows everything. I was wondering two things.

1) If the car is just dusty or has a little dirt from being rained on will using the detailing spray with a 100% coton towl scratch the paint. It looks like it leaves behing very fine scratches but they could already have been there from the dealer ... see other posts about fine scraches in paint after they detailed it ... can a cotton town scratch and if it can what is the better alternative.

2) I use the big California duster on the outside when the paint is cool and the smaller duster inside for the dash and seats. My question is if it is ok to dust the seats and are these dusters known to scratch. By looking it does not look like it is scraching but any input would help.

Thanks, Mike

Re: Meguires Detail Spray - California Duster

1) Use microfiber cloths. They're prefect for anything and everything with your car... keep them clean, and don't let any rocks/grit get in them.

2) Dust your car with the Cali duster and use a spray bottle of distilled water and a cloth to remove any dirt/dust/grit before you spray a detailing spray. Yes, you will scratch your paint if you spray detailing spray onto a non-cleaned car and buff it.

3) Be careful with the black, and when in doubt, don't rub. If there's residue on the car, you'll scratch it.
