Recommendations on Claybar brand?

Just wondering if any of you guys have used a claybar to clean the impurities off your paint. I got a bunch of hard crusty sap or tar that wont come off with a good handwash, so my buddy reccomended a claybar. ANy recommendations on brands? Mcguiars?

have you tried a lil wax? Meguiars stuff is great. Sonus makes a couple different clay bars... from a light clay to a heavy abbrasive clay. But i would try a lil wax or Stoners make a Bug and Tar spray remover.

Hey guys, fwiw almost all clay is made by the same manufacturer (Clay Magic), then re-branded by Meg's, Sonus, Mothers, etc... so for the most part it's all the same stuff. Try some bug & tar remover and if that doesn't do it give clay a try; any locally available clay should do the trick.

I like the poly-clay (usually yellow) which is sold by Zaino as well as Poorboys. PB's runs specials on it every now and then and you can get it really cheap.

I use clay magic. For $10, you get the clay and a bottle of clay lube/quick detailer. you cant beat that! just buying a bottle of quick detailer costs at least $6. and the stuff works great
