2YR Old Attacks My Ride

I'm in desperate need of help.

I have been doing house repairs for the last month on my house.
Well the Wife and I were painting the mouldings and my youngest son was playing in the backyard.
Usually my car would be in the garage but since we have been doing repairs all our furniture is in the garage and my car stays in the driveway.
Well today my son decides to take a piece of plaster(Sheetrock) and decides to put his signature on my car.
He seemed to try the hood first thank god for clear bra.
The trunk didn't have such fate.
I had waxed the trunk just a few days since I debadged on Thursday that seemed to have prevent deeper scratches.
I took some dish washing liquid to clean up the trunk area and applied 2 coats of NXT.
It did the job in the sense that it hid the scratches and you can barely see if you looking at the trunk sideways.
I was thinking if weather permitting this weekend to claybar the car and use a paint cleaner then a polish/glaze then 2 coats of NXT.
Now it seems I might have to go a step further.
What can i do to remove the scratches completely?
I was thinking maybe using Meguiar's Scratch Remover. What you guys think?

If im rambling you will have to excuse the house repair has been a b1tch and the kids aint helping any.

Definately go with Meguiar's ScratchX to attack the scratches.

Use a terry cotton applicator and work in a front to back (the way the wind flows over the vehicle) motion until the product is transparent. Re-apply if necessary. Follow up with NXT Tech Wax.

Try polishing compound it works wonders and doesn't harm the paint. Hope all turns out...

How deep is the scratch? Try running your fingernail over it
