Chrome Wheel Lip Blemished: Liquid Chrome Polish?

Searched this forum and google and did not find what I was looking for. I just got my rim repaired, but the repair caused a blemish on the chrome surface of my wheel. The "chrome" finish has been machined off and there is an off color blemeish. I want to restore the chrome finish on that area and was wondering if there is a restoration product that I can apply to refinish the surface cosmetically. I've been reading a bunch of threads on polishes and cleaners, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any experience or know of a product that can meet this need?

Thanks!

if its a true chrome dipped finish, then there is nothing you can do except for redipping the wheel. The chrome will likely start to chip off also if it isn't re dipped so that would be the way to go. If you it simply a polished lip then it can be polished using 2000grit wetsanding followed by metal polishing compound. However, if the surface is polished and has a clear coat then you will need the clear coat reapplied as well to match the others.

Hmm... I doubt my wheel is a true chrome finish. I got 5zigens with the Super Metal Black (SMB) coating which is their version of the chrome finish. The wheel itself is aluminum. I'm sure there is some kind of restoration product that can smooth over blemishes and small scratches with a topical chrome like compound. Please help!!! I will also go out to shops and ask to find out.

Anyone have other ideas or am I just posting this thread in the wrong forum? Perhaps I should have posted this in the wheels section...
