Meguiars synthetic sealent #21
Meguiars synthetic sealent #21
anyone have any experience with this product??? hows the durability and finish compared to FMJ??? (i currently use fmj on my black coupe and its amazing)
im doing a couple cars this summer and im running short on fmj and would like to look for a more readily accessible sealent to use on cars.
btw, anyone try meguiars high-tech yellow liquid wax???
thanks for your help!

I've used both. #21 and #26 (yellow wax) are both good products, just like the rest of the pro detailer Megs line. #21 will give you 4-5 months like FMJ and a very "sealant-esque" look, sort of similar to Zaino. It's a little finicky with removal, so apply very thin.
#26 is a great liquid wax; it's awesome over #7 (show car glaze), very wet, glossy, reflective, and you'll get about 8 weeks out of it. Very easy to use, too.
Cheers.

Just FYI, #21 is only available in a 64 oz size, so unless you are a pro, that will last you forever. A good alternative is #20 which is a very similar product that people say lasts almost as long a #21.
#21 and FMJ have similar durabilities.
#21 looks very similar to NXT but with much better durability.
Even with very thin coats, I had a little trouble with it streaking on darks.
I've used #21 and FMJ...My go-to sealant is Zaino Z5 Pro.
