Hose or No Hose???

I actually got my Zaino ULTIMATE Protection Show Car Kit in the mail the other day. The instructions give clear detail and give you a good guide.. As they all do, they recommend using the Dawn Dish soap the FIRST TIME especially if this is a new car to get all of the gunk off...MY QUESTION IS..

I live in a condo complex. I haven't found any water hookups yet, so I was thinking of buying a bunch of buckets in addition to the one I have now and just fill that up with water and literally pour the water over my car and just use one of the buckets for soap solution....Can I do this or should I be using a hose to rinse my car????

Use a hose. Otherwise, I would go to one of those do it yourself car washes where you use the sprayer. Bring your bucket with dawn or whatever. Wash the car using your soap, then rinse it with the sprayer. Using buckets will likely not allow you to remove all the dawn. You don't want that remaining on the car.

Roger that....

I am kinda worried about taking off that factory wax, but I am pretty confident zaino will put back a better look on the paint....I literally picked up the car about 2 weeks ago. Its not too dirty at all, but I want it looking wettttttttttttttt and fresh. Don't get me wrong though, it has some gunk on it from external debris, brake dust is already starting to build up too...Also, I am worried about the clay bar, as long as I lubricate the surface when using the clay bar I should be fine!??!?! I am also curious how the paint will look after I apply the ZFX

As suggested, use a hose or go to a coin op. Second, as long as you keep the surface very well lubricated clay is easy; slide it over the paint using NO PRESSURE. I'm confused when you say "after I apply ZFX", you don't apply ZFX on it's own, you mix it with Z2 and Z5 as instructed.

Right.....It says I can also use the clay bar on the rims as well to collect the brake dust and extra debris. This will probably eat at the clay bar significantly...

Wash the rims BEFORE you use the clay bar. The clay should only be picking up the stuff that doesn't wash off. Break dust usually comes off pretty easily with a normal wash.

Noooo!! dont go to those "Do it your self" car washes thats not clean water! they use a process called osmosis to recycle the water.... that water not clean, it still has minerals and salts in it so you would be spraying your car wit dirttyy water.... just my .02

My friends evo went from a blood red to a faded red over the period of 10months of using one of those places....

Use a hose...

I agree, but if he has no access to a hose, it is better than buckets. That is why I started my response with "Use a hose."

+1. Good idea. You need the stream of water to fully cleanse and rinse the paint.
