Does it look cloudy?

Without seeing pics I could only suggest using clay as it may just be some nasty waterspotting.

Autogeek also sells some products that remove the haze:

It's a polish for the plastic casing, but I would go that route as the last option.

3M also makes a plastic polish which you can get at CarQuest. It also works.

I just got it on my lights for the first time this week after washing. I scrubed them down first, then went on to washing the car as usual w/out rinsing them (until I got to the washing / rinsing the hood / bumper). Looks like some soap dried in there. Looks like bad water spots but its permeated into the plastic. Going to use some plastic restorer or maybe some regular poorboys 2.5. I buffed compounded right over them when I detailed and they came out sparking clean

Stick with the plastic polish, not the billet polish.
I believe that the billet polish would contain harsher abrasives than the plastic polish.

Jus use a little elbow grease and you will be fine.

Good Luck,

B.
