I have a pretty long and wide scratch on one of my spokes. There is a definate color difference between the scratch and the rest of the tire. Could I use some compund do cover up this scratch on my rim?

Is there anything I can do?

compound doesnt get out scratches, if the color is different on the rim, that means the paint itself is scratched.
So you'd have to color match it with regular paint (i dont know the exact color-code) then apply clearcoat, then finally some compound to smooth it out.

Rambo - I know that compound doesnt remove scratches, it only covers them up and fills in the small gaps. I was wondering if the compound could get rid of the color difference (whiteness) of the scratch and make it blend in with the rest of the rim.

I will post some pics of my scratch when I get hold of a digital camera.

my scratched rim is black..... how is yours white? hmm, perhaps you hit something white? i hit a curb LOL dam tacobell drivethru window!
Anyway, if yours is white, that means its just a paint mark, can you take pics of it? I'm thinking that some compound will work JUST FINE for you if that is the case, worth a try, right?

I got a little scratch, as well, and mine is black. Rambo, let me know how you got yours fixed. It's really small, but I get annoyed when I wash the rims.

its a cosmetic scratch on the lip of the rim and one spoke is also scratched.
